Measure every opening and turn between the portable spa and the loading area. Start with the route, separate anything that needs special handling, and use photos to replace guesswork.
Measure the spa at the widest points
Record the full length, width, and height. Include fixed lips, control housings, and any cabinet section that extends beyond the main shell. If the model is unknown, a tape measure and clear photos are enough to start the conversation.
Walk the route in order
Check the first lift from the pad, each turn, the narrowest gate, steps, slopes, and the final approach to the driveway. A gate may be wide enough while the turn before it is not.
Confirm the work area is ready
Drain the spa and keep the route free of hoses, furniture, toys, and loose garden items. Utility disconnection may need a qualified trade, so confirm that requirement before removal day.
Three photos that help
- The full spa and surrounding pad.
- The tightest opening or turn.
- The driveway or legal loading position.
- Any steps, slopes, or soft ground.
- The utility side of the spa.
